Which is better: WordPress Forum Plugin or Forum Script

Forum Scripts dominated the Forum World since late 90′s, these scripts includes vbulletin, phpbb, MyBB, OvBB, and many more. The bottom line here is that Forum Scripts proved to be the best because its a Community and Information driven script that People love. These Days, however, with the rapid increase of Blogging Scripts and the sophistication it brings. Forum and Blog should merge into a site to have a total interaction of Information flow between the Site and the user/visitor.

On a established Forum, a blog can be installed but, for me, its pointless in installing a blog on a forum because, why you set up blog on a forum if you can post your thoughts on the Forum itself? right. Probably you can set up a blog on a forum if you are famous and a lot of followers on that particular Forum. Its a best practice to install a Blog on a Separate Domain not on the Forum site.
